1/100 MG Wing Ver.Ka

Woooot done with the photoshoot of Wing Ver Ka. Took me last night and this morning and it was totally worth it. He was such much fun to take pictures with Ahahhahaha. On to the review!!
Wing gundam, also known as XXXG-01, is one of the 5 main mobile suits in Gundam Wing. It’s probably the main one too since..well..the anime itself is named after it LOL.

The one that pilots Wing Gundam is Heero Yuy, a young teenage boy who owns alot of other mobile suit pilots with ease. He’s cold and heartless at first impression but deep down he’s actually a kind and caring person. I’m not done watching the anime yet though so I don’t know how he’ll end up.

Hajime Katoki took Wing’s design and updated it for this master grade release and it is beauuutiful~ Most Ver.Ka models are awesome looking anyway.

Articulation:

Since this is an older release, Wing Ver Ka’s articulation isn’t as amazing as the newer ones that I have such as Strike E’s
I’ve also read that Ver Ka models lack articulation and they’re just average. I don’t really mind though cause Wing looks stunning just standing there.

Arm bends as usual but is blocked abit by his shoulder pads

Shoulder goes outwards like that

Shoulder pads can be pulled out and downwards for his bird transformation mode

Legs bend backwards as shown

Unlike my previous 2 models, his foot goes downwards instead of upwards. This is for his bird mode but it's difficult to put him in a kneeling pose

Wings can be pulled back

The backpack is attached to Wing's body by that piece

This even allows his backback upside down! HAhahahahah

Weapons and accessories:

He has these claws or talons attached to his arm. They're pretty short though so I'm wondering how he's gonna attack anyone with them

Next he has the machine cannons mounted near his shoulders

You can't fully open it with his head looking straight. So you can only open them fully when he's looking sideways...methinks xD

His main weapon which is the Super long and heavy buster rifle which he can barely hold on to(which I really hate)

His nice looking shield. Messed up on the upper decal *cries*

Complaints:
-His face plate moves! I mean its so easy to knock his faceplate and make his face crooked. Why couldn’t it have been more fixed and secure?
-He can’t hold his buster rifle. It’s the most annoying weapon I’ve tried to make a gundam carry.
-His arms are abit on the loose side. They will slowly sag down if he’s carrying his rifle or shield upwards and straight.
-Too many freaking decals and stickers!! This is mostly due to my inexperience. After only building 2 gundams and jumping into a Ver Ka model, I was overwhelmed by all the stickers! I gave up putting all of them on and screwed up ALOT of the decals.

Overall, complaints aside, this model is Gorgeous! I love this gundam and Out of the 3 that I have done, this is probably my favourite. He’s shorter than the other 2 gundams I have but he’s way nicer looking than them. I can’t say enough on how much I love this gundam. It’s colourful, nice to pose and take pictures with and his wings are awesome! With all those complaints you might think that I hate this model. Fact is, that’s the total opposite!

Whether you watched Gundam Wing or not, you should probably go out and get this model kit! I assure you it’s a worthy addition to any gunota’s collection! Just be careful with all the decals and stickers. Z was not kidding when he said it’s insanely hard to put dry transfer decals on uneven surfaces. You WILL screw up. AHHAHAHAHA Unless you’re super skilled or something. I hate myself for being such a noob >.<”
