Ok. I’m finally done taking all the pictures for this review XD
Freedom is the first gundam I’ve ever built. Yes, I jumped right into a master grade >.>
The building process took me roughly 5 days as you can see from the work in progress section of Freedom. I kind of rushed this model since I couldn’t wait to see how it looked like. Many nub marks here and there. They are definitely visible LOL. I’m sure I could’ve done better but hey, practice makes perfect right? Let’s get to the review shall we?
——————————————————————————————————————–
ZGMF-X10A Freedom Gundam
Appears in: Mobile Suit Gundam SEED
First Appearance: Episode 34
Designed by: Kunio Okawara
———————————————–
General Characteristics:-
Model Number: ZGMF-X10A
Manufacturer: Zaft
Head Height: 18.03 meters
Weight: 71.5 metric tons
Powerplant:Ultracompact nuclear fission reactor, power output rated at 8826 kW
Armor: Phase Shift Armor
Pilot: Kira Yamato
This isn’t the information on the model itself though LOL XD 71.5 metric tons for a model kit…I don’t think so~
The gundam itself wasn’t really that hard to construct. I could’ve probably fixed it in a day but then I was too busy trying to clean off the nub marks but alas I failed miserably.
As you can see from the picture, Freedom looks quite plain without his wings and side cannons. It has the basic gundam colours: White, Red, Blue. The small V fins are coloured yellow.
Articulation:

Shoulder pads go up that high. Arm bends on a double joint. Rests fully flushed

Back skirt goes that far. Front skirts goes upwards and is on some kind of joint

Leg goes forward that far 90 degrees Bends backwards on a double joint.
Decals:
Moments later….
Problems:
Well, I DO have some complaints. First of all is that it‘s kind of back-heavy. Adding the wings won’t topple it over to its back but when you fully open the wings, he won’t be able to stand. You’ll need the stand that’s included if you wanna show him off with fully opened wings. Next is the hands. It doesn’t have any peg to hold the weapons so they tend to wobble around, especially the beam rifle. The last complaint I have is that the ankle guard has these 2 pieces that you have to insert on the bottom. The problem is that they’re quite loose and fall off easily. It’s not that easy to put back on..so yeah. The picture below will show which part I’m talking about:

They’re so damn annoying!
Posing time~
A cool feature of the beam sabres is that they can combine to become one. A single beam sabre that has beams coming out from both ends. Sick.Ass

Attempted use of beam sabre as laser beam effects: PHAIL’ed XD
Looks like it’s time to activate Hi-MAT mode!

Closing Remaks:
Well, I may have rushed it and all but I’m still satisfied with it. Maybe next time when I get better I’ll try and clean up this model. Overall, a beautiful model kit that any Seed/Seed Destiny fan should have. Minor complaints aside, this model is amazing. I don’t know about the newer models since this model is quite old but so far so good. Get this master grade if you have the chance *thumbs up*

OMG! it’s really gorgeous! you are considered good for a beginner
Seems like Freedom looks a little bit alone.. hehe.. get Justice too
or Strike Freedoom.
Mm.. Actually Seed/Destiny Master Grade Gunpla is still quite ok and is not consider old
Considering the fact that after the first series of 00 Gundam started playing for so long, only until now Bandai just recently announced the release of the very first MG Exia. Even the 00 Raiser designer version is not considered as Master Grade.
Good job
can’t wait to see your next project XD by the way, do you mind telling me what’s your camera’s model?=D your shots are good
Jojo: LOL thanks man. My camera’s Canon EOS 450D
