1/100 MG Exia Ignition Mode WIP(Updated 15 August 2009)

I received my Exia yesterday! Premium price too! I’ve always wanted a master grade version of Exia ever since I saw the No grade version. I usually don’t buy no grades and I was so tempted to buy Exia until I heard the announcement of the Master grade version. I quickly preordered it and well, the rest is history.

Lets start the work shall we?

Well, I don’t have to show you the unboxing since I already did that here so let’s just skip to the construction part.

Day 1 of construction(10/08/09)

As always, I will start with the head construction first.

The parts for the head. Those yellow vents on the cheeks are seriously THIN! I broke one of them by accident while trying to clean out the nub marks, good thing I had some tamiya cement lying around.

Completed head! 5 foil stickers altogether, 1 for the eyes, 2 on the side of the head(behind the green orbs) and 2 for the head cameras I guess

Parts for the GN Drive which also includes 2 metallic parts and 2 LED lights *thumbs up*

Completed GN Drive. That transparent base is the compartment to keep the GN Drive when not in use

The light emitted is seriously BRIGHT. I underestimated it LOL now my eyes hurt =[

Day 2 of construction(11/08/09)

I built the arms on the 11th of August but since I forgot to post it up, here they are:

Construction of the forearm

Fingers and the joint at the top of the forearm

Upper body, done!

Day 3 of construction(12/08/09)

Yesterday I built the legs. So now all that’s left is building his weapons and applying the decals =)

Day 4 of construction(15/08/09)

Today’s construction shall be focusing on the weapons! Wooot!

First up, the parts for the shield
